A Great Day

Hi everyone –

On behalf of Nicole, Billy and Chloe – thank you for all the kind messages and emails. Nicole will get back to all of you as time permits; but as you can imagine, since the family came home on Wednesday, she has been busy with the baby and trying to get some sleep when she can. Mom has been making dinner at Billy and Nicole’s which the WHOLE family loves! After dinner, Nicole takes a little nap and our job is to keep the baby awake for as long as possible so she will sleep more during the night. All in all, the Cundiff family is adjusting beautifully and enjoying every moment of parenthood.

Mom has been feeling really well lately and is taking advantage of it. After running errands this morning, she and I went to my friend Kristen’s house to make cookies. We had a great time and it was really special spending that time with her outside the house.

This evening, the family (baby too!) gathered at our house for dinner and sports. Nikki Ruede was so sweet to order us dinner and we were even happier that she joined us. We all hung out in the living room to watch Drake beat University of Iowa – in Iowa City – for the first time in 50 years. It was really cool to watch the game, but it was even better to see little Billie in the front row! Our Dad was jealous but gleeming with pride seeing Billie cheer on the Bulldogs on to victory.

It really was a wonderful day. However, by 8:15 the baby was naked (thanks to Dani, haha) and Nicole and Mom were exhausted so our guests went home to bed. How quickly life changes!
