Baby Steps!

Hello!

Michelle, Billy and I just left the hospital. Little Billie decided to stay the night with mom since she hasn’t seen her since last month. Poor thing has to sleep in a chair! Luckily, they moved my mom to a large private room tonight after we spent the last couple days buttering up to the nurses. We had a feeling that sweet treats could go a long way!

We had a good day today…mom was feeling so much better and was able to do a little more walking down the hall. She took two laps around the nurses station numerous times today. Baby steps! She is still exhausted from the surgery and is in quite a bit of pain, but is progressing rapidly. She is sleeping a little better and is finally able to have some clear liquids. We were hoping to come home tomorrow…however, it looks like we will not be coming back to Phoenix until Saturday.

Our grandma, aunt Kathy and aunt Kaytie came in town which made my mom so happy! We were also able to spend time with our aunt Frankie who lives in Tucson. There is nothing like family and friends during a time like this!

We will send updates once we know when we will be coming home! I know she is ready to sleep in her own bed!
