Dad is just fine…

Hi all-

I just wanted to give you a quick update on our Dad. Although the Doc finds Dad’s cholesterol to be “impressively high” (he’ll be mad at me for telling you that!) he was extremely pleased to only find some plaque in his arteries but nothing significant enough to necessitate a stent. The procedure was quick and he will be home today. Doc says Dad has to lay low and stay off his feet for the next few days. It looks as though the Tee Pee could be seeing less of the Drury clan – turns out mounds of cheese don’t help the cholesterol issue – weird.

On a more sobering note – our hearts were broken to hear that Marcia W. passed away several nights ago. Although we never had the privilege of meeting her – we were deeply touched by the message she left our Mom on February 1st. While the “purpose” Marcia sought will be revealed to her in another place – her untimely and unfortunate passing serves as yet another sign to our family revealing our purpose here on Earth. It has become overwhelmingly apparent to us the need to bring strength, encouragement, empowerment, comfort and joy to the courageous individuals who are battling insidious diseases such as cancer. As our ideas about how to best accomplish this lofty goal are better formulated, we will certainly keep you updated.

In the mean time, please don’t hesitate to offer a smile, hug or simply positive energy to sick or hurting individuals you either know or pass on the streets – within that small gesture may possess the power to bring a little sunshine to their darkness.
