Hair, hair and more hair!

You asked for it and here it is, the most recent picture of Mom with all that hair! Isn’t she as beautiful as ever!?!?

This weekend she and Dad are in New York with their friends. On Thursday, Nicole called me completely hysterical asking if Mom had called since landing. I told her no, she should be landing any minute now. That’s when Nicole scared the sh*t out of me and told me that a US Airways flight had just landed in the Hudson River and the news did not yet have any information on the flight. At this point, I start looking all over the internet but there was nothing to find. The crash had just happened. I went to the lobby at work and by the time I got there, Nicole had just told me it was not her flight. I realize that life works in funny ways and that we don’t get the luxury of knowing how we are going to die, but I don’t think that she just completed 15 months of excrutiating chemotherapy to die in a plane crash!

Now that we know she is alive and well, I can report Mom is having so much fun and her only complaint is that it is COLD in NY City!! Leaving for the cold was sort of a theme around here this weekend, however. Little Billie returned to Iowa for school and I don’t even think it reached 0 degrees the other day. Billy is back in Chicago for the weekend and it turns out that the national news is in awe of the bitterly cold weather there! Dani and her boyfriend Dan were the only ones that went to the snow in order to play in it – they are skiing in Whistler!

Nicole, Chloe, Pete and I are of course in sunny Phoenix, nice and warm! It’s been a relaxing weekend of walks and yard work.
