Happy Nov. 1st!!!
Yesterday Dani and I drove down to Tucson so I could receive my “Day 8” chemo which was the Taxol administered through the intra-abdominal cath. I was nervous going in – not knowing how my body would respond to the Taxol given in this manner. I anticipated feeling full – but it was more than I expected. Similar to eating three helpings of Thanksgiving dinner and trying ALL the deserts!
I had much more energy than I expected last night and was able to come home from Tucson and celebrate Halloween! The Goulds, our sweet neighbors, had a pot luck for the families around the block. I made it to the party and was able to enjoy the company of many wonderful people and of course eat fabulous food! It did not take too long for me to get warn out so I had to leave early. Good thing I did because my Mom and Dad stopped by – reverse trick or treating – bringing over soup and carrot cake – my favorite!
After last weeks chemo, I believed that I would be down and out today; however, I can’t believe how good I feel! I have been up for hours and am looking forward to running errands this afternoon. I am also excited to head up north to the house tomorrow and spend the weekend by the fire – and of course watch ASU take Oregon down!
Thanks again to everyone for your unfettering and overwhelming generousity.
Thanks mom for the Halloween shirt!!! According to Pete and Michelle it glows in dark and could be useful for many, many purposes.
Love,
Colleen
