Keeping our lives interesting….
Our family is slowly learning that with chemotherapy, each day can be very different from the next. Late on Tuesday, Mom began having some abdominal cramping which continued to get worse thoughout the day yesterday. Thank you again to John Shufeldt, who seems to be our family’s “Knight in shining armor” (although he gets very embarrassed when we refer to him as such), Mom was admitted to St. Joe’s emergency room right away and had several tests run. The X-Ray and CT Scans both came back normal which is great news – but unfortunately that means they were not able to do anything for her besides manage the pain.
Today she is feeling better. While she still has some discomfort caused by the cramping, she has been up and about and even made dinner this evening which smelled incredible!
Tomorrow she and I are heading to Tucson and will be meeting with Dr. Chambers. We hope to find out the root of her abdominal pain so please keep your fingers crossed for some answers. She and I will be back around noon and plan to stop by the office to say hi to everyone. Then tomorrow evening after we pick up Little Billie from the airport we will be back on the road, heading up north to the cabin for the weekend. Monday Billie will drive her down to Tucson to begin cycle 2 of her chemo treatment.
That’s all for now – have a great weekend!
