Kicking for the Cure…

Dear Friends and Family:

When Carlos called me a few days ago to let me know of his fundraising for ovarian cancer awareness, I was speachless!! Carlos kicks for the Atlanta Force and will be donating $10 for each PAT (point after touchdown) and $25 for each field goal he makes to the Ovarian Institute in Atlanta, all to be doubled by the owner of the Atlanta Force!
Bill and I will also match the donation Carlos offers to the institute. Thank you Carlos, we are so proud of you for your involvement and donations for reseach for early detection and your willingness to help us spread the awareness of signs and symptoms of this insidious disease.

I finished my 5th chemo-treatment last Wednesday and Bill and I headed up north to our place to enjoy the snow and just rest. Just driving out of town toward Payson, through the desert was a relief. The desert is green and just about to bloom, beautiful, what a site!

The only side effect from this treatment has been a headache that comes and goes, so I am feeling really good and have started walking this past week again.
