Ovarian Cancer National Alliance Annual Conference

Colleen’s Dream was well represented at the OCNA National Conference in Washington, DC this July.  Nicole and I really enjoyed the trip.  The best part of the trip was lobbying Congress and letting our politicians know how they can help make a difference in the fight against ovarian cancer.

We received an email from the OCNA Director the other day.  Here is what she had to say:

The effects of your participation in Advocacy Day and the meetings you had with your Representatives are already being seen. Today we received an email from Nicky Borselli notifying us that Congresswoman Sinema has officially signed on as a Cosponsor for the Ovarian Cancer Awareness Resolution. Time that you spent telling your stories was not wasted – every story that was told is another step towards awareness of Ovarian Cancer, vital research funding, and equitable access to  anti-Cancer drugs.

We look forward to building a lasting relationship with the OCNA and hope to attend the conference in years to come.
