Quick Update!

Sorry we have neglected the blog lately. We have all been so busy getting our lives back on track since Grandpa’s passing. Losing him has been a lot harder than we anticipated. He was a big part of our lives and its just not the same without him…I think we are all dealing with shock that he is really gone…he had been sick so many times, but always recovered….I think we all hoped this time would be no different. However, the fact that he was ready and at peace is a blessing to us all. His funeral was beautiful…thank you to all of our friends who came to show support…you have no idea how much comfort your presence provided. So, we are all adjusting and helping out Grandma as much as we can…Michelle and Pete decided to move into her house for a few months to help her out. Grandma is incredibly strong and is doing well considering the circumstances.

So, on a brighter note…Mom and Grandma drove to Tucson on Friday for Mom’s appointment with Dr. Chambers. The appointment went really well and her CA125 is 10!!! Amazing!!! Mom’s year anniversary of being finished with IP chemo is coming up on March 11th! As you know, she continued with IV chemo for many more months after that…but, we are celebrating all victories!!! Mom and Grandma had a great trip to Tucson…they had lunch with Aunt Frankie and went shopping! Chloe majorily benefitted from this shopping excursion with multiple pairs of new shoes and outfits from Dillards!!! She is so lucky to have a GiGi!
